MA plans already offer a benefit advantage over traditional Medicare in such basic areas as dental, vision, and hearing. Other MA-only benefits already range from fitness memberships and acupuncture to meals and transportation. The latter hint at the progression of MA supplemental benefits, including debit cards to pay for groceries and utilities, to address the social determinants of health.
