And those on the leading edge are seeking ways to launch the next generation of telehealth through remote monitoring and 24/7 care. This event, on April 28th, is designed to expose participants to what's next.

SESSIONS

Atrium Health Virtual Edge: What’s Here, What’s Next

Time: 10:00 - 11:00 AM EST

Virtual health is no longer a nice-to-have or an augmentation of care. It is an essential and necessary way of clinical care delivery and customer service for any healthcare system— allowing the delivery of affordable, accessible care for all. North Carolina-based Atrium Health has been at the forefront of virtual care and its technologies for more than 10 years, enabling it to extend the reach of its renowned clinicians to rural and underserved communities, even allowing hospital-level care in the comfort of one’s own home.

Our speakers will share insights from more than a decade on this journey, why health systems should seize the opportunity now, and how to scale for success.

Speakers:

Scott Rissmiller, MD, Executive Vice President and Chief Physician Executive - Atrium Health
Katie Kriener, MHA, Senior Vice President, Medical Group Operations - Atrium Health

The Role of Asynchronous Communications in the Future of Telehealth

Time: 12:10 - 1:10 AM EST

Throughout the pandemic, we’ve seen a dramatic increase in the use of telehealth options, but few health systems have turned to asynchronous visits as an option. Through asynchronous communications, health systems can create a better experience for patients as well as for clinicians delivering care.

Learn more about the role of asynchronous visits in the telehealth space and how this type of care can be easier and more convenient for patients than a traditional video visit.

Speaker:
Ries Robinson, MD, Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer - Presbyterian Healthcare Services

The Living Health Model: Redesign and Realign to Deliver Seamless, Simpler, and Smarter Health Care

Time: 3:25 - 4:25 AM EST

Highmark Health’s Living Health model combines technology, its deep understanding of customer behavior and clinical best practices, and the ability to see and anticipate the journey of a customer and their clinician. What makes Living Health unique is the level of integration and redesign around the right customer and clinician behavior.

Highmark Health will share how its unique blended structure and data set, market density, share of practice, and integrated culture, enable the development of Living Health. Using data and technology that works for both patients and clinicians, it will create a unique level of communication and sharing that is the “missing link” in today’s health care system. They will also discuss how technology, such as fitness devices, remote monitoring and virtual interventions, that are in the market today that will help make this a reality.

Speakers:
Karen Hanlon, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer - Highmark Health
Tony Farah, MD, FACC, FSCAI, Executive Vice President and Chief Medical and Clinical Transformation Officer ‒ Highmark Health
